Our Mission:

Our organization is dedicated to organizing and perpetuating a World-class event that creates a community of horror and sci-fi fans and filmmakers who encourage and educate the world about horror and sci-fi filmmaking.

Our aim is to promote independent filmmaking, with a spotlight on films in the horror and sci-fi genre.

The International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival is a program of the 501c(3) non-profit Phoenix Film Foundation, started in 2000 by independent filmmakers as an opportunity to showcase independent filmmaking and increase awareness and education of films and filmmaking in the Valley of the Sun.

This is the 3nd annual International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival. The first two years were a big success featuring appearances by Heather Langenkamp, Mick Garris, Lloyd Kaufman, Peter Mayhew and Tobe Hooper. The festival was recognized as an instant success by filmmakers and fans.

The leadership of the Phoenix Film Festival will be producing the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival. There will be a focus on independent competition horror and sci-fi films as well as some independent studio films. Celebrity guests from the Horror and Sci-Fi genre will also be in attendance. Of course, there will be parties each night of the event with a spotlight on a costume party on Saturday night.

We anticipate this ground breaking event to be as successful as the Phoenix Film Festival.
